GRAVY TOUR: driving home

Two days straight, from San Francisco to Seattle. Home sweet home after a successful tour. The Gravy Boat was the biggest trooper of us all. Not only did it brave the mountain passes in Washington, but handled the heat in Oregon and California without any trouble.

Next stop, Bumbershoot Music Festival on Sunday, Sept. 5. Click here for more info!

GRAVY TOUR: The Boom Boom Room finale

Friday night in San Francisco. Through the long travels, this was the “IT” that the band wanted to have. A packed house in a music-hungry city. A true test of the funk power this group brings to the table.

This was as far south EG&TCS had played, and the anticipation from all parties was electric. Although the cover at the Boom Boom Room was $12, people came in from off the street, payed the cover and hopped into the bar, simply expecting that the bands playing would kick ass. Of course, they did.

Pics from the Boom Boom Room! A great trip and more people funked to the bone, thanks to Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme.

GRAVY TOUR: the Caspar Inn, mendocino county

After playing on Monday and Tuesday nights at The Press Club in Sacremento, EG&TCS set off towards the North Coast of California. We spent Wednesday night along Clear Lake, approximately 80 miles from Sacremento, before leaving towards Caspar, a small town in Mendocino County.

We rolled up to the Caspar Inn on Thursday afternoon and began to load-in to the stage. Conveniently enough, the Caspar Inn wasn’t just the local watering hole, but was also the place where we would stay the night! This would be the last show Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme could sharpen up their songs before the big finale of the tour: A Friday night date at The Boom Boom Room in San Francisco.

In the mean time, pictures from Caspar Inn, including Donnie Dollarstack’s bling, Daddy Diddio on the keys, and the horn section. Stay tuned!

GRAVY TOUR: take that sac-town. funk in YO face!

The Press Club was a a small but cozy venue. With little promo done for this show, there were only a few hours to walk around the neighborhood, but a small crowd did manage to turn up. This being the furthest The Gravy have traveled, any crowd was a good crowd. They had no idea what was comin.

A dimly-lit stage opens out onto a dance floor and pool table behind it. I managed to catch Donny D. and the Lady Gravy in some awesome over-hanging lights before they started their show. Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme rocked The Press Club on Monday night, Aug. 16 and were offered to play on Tuesday. Good clout is building in Sacramento! Here are some pics, video to come!

GRAVY TOUR: beatin the heat in Whiskeytown, Calif.

After visiting Olympia, Wash. and Portland, Ore. for shows on Friday and Saturday, Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme trekked into California, crossing into The Golden State on Sunday, Aug. 15.

The sun relentlessly beat down on the group, reaching temperatures upwards of 95 degrees. Fortunately, a small body of water lay at the foot of our campsite in Whiskeytown, Calif. Here are some pictures as the group prepared to leave for Sacremento, Calif. on Monday, Aug. 16.
